ICYMI: Microsoft SQL 2008 support discontinued, upgrade now

Microsoft has ceased support of SQL 2008 so it's the perfect time for LUMEDX customers to make the transition to current versions of SQL Server, as well as Windows Server and Azure services, for added security and enhanced performance.

Microsoft will provide security updates through 2022 but only if you subscribe to the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. To sign up, contact Microsoft directly (for more information, click here).

The end of extended support for SQL Server is one reason to upgrade now to a newer version of SQL Server, however it also enables you to maintain security and compliance, achieve breakthrough performance, and optimize your data platform infrastructure.

LUMEDX clients who have not yet upgraded their Windows Server to version 2016 or 2017 are urged to do so. To assist in this transition, we offer a migration service. For more information or to get a quote for services, please contact jason.hardouin@lumedx.com.
